 In TELI Diary

According to Census and Statistics Department’s report in 2016, Hong Kong population aged 65 or above has risen from 12 percent to 16 percent in 10 years. In response to the depression issues within the ageing population, the Hong Kong Jockey Club has partnered with the Department of Social Work and Social Administration of the University of Hong Kong to launch the ‘JC JoyAge: Jockey Club Holistic Support Project for Elderly Mental Wellness’.

Featuring Dr Tang, Jennifer Yee Man from Faculty of Social Sciences, Sau Po Centre on Ageing, TeLi helped record the first lecture about Geriatric Mental Health. Today’s filming covers topics like types of stroke and symptoms, post-stroke depression: prevalence, aetiology and risk factors, and management of post-stroke depression.
