Shortlisted as one of the top 10 finalists of the 2019 edX Prize for Exceptional Contributions in Online Teaching and Learning, Introduction to FinTech, which was first launched in May 2018, attracted more than 39,000 learners from over 195 countries across the world to join the journey into Financial Technology (FinTech). It is also the first course in the HKU FinTech Certificate Program.

In this 6-week course, learners will be able to develop a better understanding about major technological trends — including cryptocurrencies, blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), and big data — and their influence on economies, markets, companies, and individuals.
