Lunch time CiC Workshop on “Flipping Classrooms: Key Considerations and Best Practice”
TELI, partnering with Communication Intensive Courses (CiC) Initiative, jointly organized a workshop on “Flipping Classrooms: Key Considerations and Best Practice” for HKU teachers. In the workshop, staff from CiC and TELI exchanged their experiences and approaches in flipped classroom.
Mr Simon Boynton (Lecturer, Centre for Applied English Studies) showcased his practice in a flipped course, and he also initiated some group activities during the workshop to let the participants experience the “flipped” element.

Ms Andrea Qi (Instructional Designer, TELI) and Dr Leon Lei shared tips on flipping the classroom They also suggested some useful resources to the participants on choosing effective flipped classroom approaches to enrich their teaching in classrooms.

Dr Leon Lei introduced an online tool that could facilitate the coursework marking process.
